Prima Park’s facilities have been thoughtfully designed to support every stage of a thoroughbred’s development from early education through to sales preparation and racetrack readiness. Set across 50 acres in the heart of Matamata’s renowned horse country, our infrastructure allows us to manage each horse within a structured and safe environment.
On-site facilities include:
36 well-appointed boxes
800-metre sand track
20-metre round pen
Eight-horse walker
60 paddocks, including dedicated colt paddocks and large spelling paddocks
On-site weigh scales
Scoping crush
Hot water wash-down bay
These facilities enable Prima Park to deliver consistent, high-level preparation across breaking-in, pre-training, sales campaigns and racehorse development.
